POSITION SUMMARY:

Washing Systems, LLC (WSI) is the largest supplier of laundry chemicals to the commercial laundry industry in North America.  WSI provides high quality chemical products for both uniform and linen rental companies.  Reporting to the Group Vice President (GVP), the Division Manager is responsible for providing technical support and leadership to personnel within the division, ensures that the highest quality of customer service is provided to all customers within the division, and provides support to the division personnel to help meet division goals and deliverables.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES AND TASKS:

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

  1. Developing a key sales prospect list, establish relationships, and sell new customers.
  2. Acquire new customers through identification, prioritization, and strategic analysis.
  3. Develop new business programs to meet productivity and revenue goals.
  4. Manage business operations in assigned division to achieve company goals.
  5. Evaluate division performance and recommend new strategies for performance improvements.
  6. Resolve business issues and ensure that all escalated issues are closed.
  7. Address business inquiries from customers and division personnel in a professional manner.
  8. Identify resources, assign workloads and manage schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
  9. Ensure that the team works in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  10. Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluation, promotion, retention and termination activities.
  11. Identify skill gaps and provide appropriate trainings to team.
  12. Develop and enforce best practices to ensure operational efficiency.
  13. Oversee staffing adjustments to obtain maximum productivity.
  14. Recommend cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining productivity and quality.
  15. Provide guidance to division personnel and monitor their performance, discipline and attendance on a regular basis.
  16. Identify areas of improvements and concerns and, accordingly, develop action plans.
  17. Process customer invoicing promptly and oversee business accounting processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related degree is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in leading a results-driven team of sales and technical professionals.
  • Knowledge of the commercial laundry industry, including washer programming, continuous batch washer processing, operational best practices, and wastewater chemistry and water flows is preferred.
  • Data Analysis to improve process efficiencies.
  • History of achieving individual and team sales and service goals.
  • Self-motivated with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, versatility, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with different personality types.
  • Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
